As a member of the Strategical Business Unit (SBU) Specialties Leadership Team, you co-shape and co-execute the strategic and operational direction, with a focus on all associated Finance aspects. Reporting to the Executive Director of the SBU and functionally to the Executive VP Finance, you deliver financial insights and acumen and drive key decisions to ensure robust financial leadership and management across the P&L and the Balance Sheet.
Leading a team of SBU controllers and interacting withvarious cross-functional teams, your role balances strategic vision and hands-on execution. You drive financial performance, challenge the status quo, and provide data-driven insights to make Commercial, Industrial and R&I decisions.
Responsibilities
Financial Performance & Analysis
- Monitor KPIs, analyze margins, highlight risks/opportunities and propose corrective actions and drive continuous improvement in financial performance and cost competitiveness.
Strategy, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Actively participate in shaping the SBU strategic plan, Budget and forecast.
- Lead Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews.
Investments
- Develop and validate business cases for industrial and R&I projects
Cost & Expense Management
- Oversee cost structure, challenge competitiveness and contribute to cost optimization actions
Reporting
- Lead SBU reporting and senior management presentations, ensure compliance with Group financial standards
Tools & Transformation
- Participate to the development and implementation of digital tools and dashboards (SAP, Power BI) and take ownership of relevant Business Process Owner (BPO) roles.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in finance and/or Business with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance, ideally in pharmaceutical or chemical environments and with a solid track record in both manufacturing and commercial controlling.
- Leadership experience in matrix organizations and multicultural contexts
- Fluent in English and international experience
- Advanced in SAP, Power BI, Microsoft tools
- Strong leadership with a clear financial vision and hands-on mindset.
- Results-driven, pragmatic, and proactive in execution
- Skilled in analysis, decision support, and business partnering
- Comfortable influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong communicator with a collaborative and adaptable mindset
